Title: Business Development Manager

Hours of Work The Hotels’ working week is Monday to
Sunday. You will normally be expected to
Work Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to
5.00 pm. You will be expected to undertake
Familiarisation visits over the weekend as and
when required.

Development Manager must be a standard bearer
for the hotel both on and off property.
Scope of Work
· With the support of the General Manager ensure hotel targets are achieved.
· Customer Relationship Management: Manage all local key accounts to include conference and transient business. Conduct bi annual rate review and renegotiate rates.
· Manage, create and clean all hotel sales databases, contact sheets and company files.
· Manage the hotels website and ensure it is updated monthly with current rates, editorial and special offers.
· Devise and promote the annual Calendar of Events, promote the Oakwood Restaurant within the local market and generate regular local PR through press releases.
Responsibilities
· Work within the Sales & Marketing budget agreed by the General Manager.
· Identify prospective clients via telephone and undertake an average of 15 face to face sales calls and familiarisation visits per week within a one hour radius of the hotel.
· Adhere to the sales & marketing plan, and help produce it in association with the General Manager.
· Meet and exceed financial targets as determined by the hotel budget.
· Produce monthly sales & marketing reports relating to sales call and familiarisation visits for local key accounts.
· Attend trade shows as agreed by the General Manager and follow up all sales generated at each event in conjunction.
· Assist the Conference & Events team with the organisation of the bi annual hotel Wedding Fayres.
· Undertake regular mail shots and web based mail shots to our key customers.
Salary: Negotiable. Hours:42.5 per week.
