Accounts Assistant - Maternity leave cover:
Jurys Inns Glasgow are currently recruiting for the position of Temporary Accounts Assistant.
Maternity Leave cover (September to April)
In this role is based in Jurys Inn Glasgow which is the hub property of a Cluster, you will be a key member of the accounts team, reporting to the Cluster Financial Controller. You will be assisting in the running of the finance functions within the cluster properties.
You will be providing a quality accounts service to the Jurys Inns, which is consistent with statutory requirements, best practice and company policies and procedures, whilst ensuring all actions, which are taken, add commercial value to the company. You will develop and maintain close working relationships with colleagues in the cluster, property and central management teams.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication, interpersonal and accounting skills. The ideal candidate should be able to prioritise and work to deadlines, act on their initiative, have a good understanding of the hospitality industry in the current climate. This is a Full-time temporary position from September 2010 to the end of April 2011, with the standard benefits to the position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· To ensure that that each days business is thoroughly audited via the companys income audit processes, highlighting control issues should they arise.
· To ensure cash & credit cards are balanced on a daily basis with values posted through POS reconciled to the PDQ machines.
· To ensure city ledgers are checked and posted out daily.
· To upload city ledgers onto SAP daily.
· To be responsible for all petty cash within the property.
· To prepare banking for uplift to the bank.
· To order, distribute and re-bank weekly coin orders.
· To complete foreign exchange returns.
· To assist with the month end stock/float counts.
· Participation in the development & achievement of the business objectives of the group finance team.
· Deal with customer credit card queries in a friendly and efficient manner.
Requirements:
Essential
· Education to GCSE level or equivalent or qualified by at least 1 years experience in a similar role.
· Good level of business English.
· Good communication skills both written and verbal.
· Excellent attention to detail, organised and can work to strict deadlines.
· Computer literate
· Very good IT skills in Microsoft Office
Desired
· Experience of SAP
· Experience of income audit

Jurys Inn Glasgow has 321 bedrooms and 10 conference rooms and is currently recruiting for the position of: GSS Food & Beverage Supervisor We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our GSS Supervisors team. The ideal candidate will be flexible, have excellent communication skills and a high standard of customer service. They must have a positive attitude towards training and development and be able to demonstrate their interest in this area and develop and motivate the food and beverage team. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential however it is essential to have pervious customer service experience. This is an ideal position for an experienced waiting or bar staff who would be looking to progress their career. This is a full time position 5 days from 7, including evenings and weekends.
