Apprentice Chef: How about working in Cheltenham's premier hotel? The Georgian Barcelo Cheltenham Park is a magnificent 152 bedroom, four star hotel situated just outside Cheltenham. This busy hotel has 11 conference rooms which can cater for up to 320 guests. It is a traditional property, yet the team has a modern approach and a passion for providing extraordinary service. Through Government initiatives, Barceló Hotels & Resorts together with VT Training are looking to recruit Apprentice Chefs to work in our busy kitchen's, whilst learning at the same time. We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic apprentices who have the ability to maintain a high level of product knowledge in order to produce a consistent product, the ability to take initiative and generate new ideas and importantly show commitment to the Company and the scheme. Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a team and communicate at all levels are essential.
To be eligible to apply for this exciting opportunity you must have a National Insurance Number, be able to work more than 16 hours a week, you must be a European citizen, you will not hold a degree or be in any form of Government funded education.
No age limits apply to this apprentice chef scheme in the UK, however, please note that restrictions apply in Scotland.

You will be given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy kitchen, learning from experts and making a real impact to the business. The role is working 5 days out of 7, which will include working evenings and weekends.In addition we offer excellent benefits, which include uniform, meals whilst on duty, complimentary use of the Leisure Club and discounted accommodation and food & beverage rates whilst staying at our other hotels within the group. We also offer a contributory pension scheme, which is open to all permanent employees over 18. (Applicable after 6 months employment). Live-in Accommodation is Not available for this position.
